Feeling Beautiful

Feeling Beautiful

Have you ever worn something new and felt wonderful in it? Did you have a much better time when you wore the new outfit? The way you felt when you wore it felt natural. You felt natural because this is the way you should feel all the time.

THE EXERCISE:  SEE WITH YOUR EYES HOW ATTRACTIVE YOU ARE

The following section is to be read before doing the “Exercise one, what makes me feel less beautiful?”These exercises are not to just feel beautiful but to be able to see how beautiful we are in the mirror and in everyone’s eyes as well.

 - Hats in Art, Hombre!

One

The exercise begins, we start by standing 6-10 feet from a mirror and to the side so we can not see our image. Next we walk up to the mirror but not so we can see ourselves and just before the mirror we stop and close our eyes.

Next we take a few deep breaths and relax.

If we are more relaxed after a few breathes, it may be because we have some apprehension.

If we were to look in the mirror when we are apprehensive, we add the feeling of apprehension to what we see.

After we assess how we feel we go back to where we started several feet away from the mirror.

Two

We do what we did to begin with again, we walk towards the mirror and stop to assess how we feel. We do the relaxation exercise again and assess how we feel. We continue doing this exercise of just walking up to the mirror, until we can go to the mirror and find ourselves automatically relaxed when we get there.

Three

The next step is similar but we add one more thing.

We walk up again and close our eyes before we look at our image. We do a self check to see if we feel beautiful in our body before we look at ourselves.

How we feel about ourselves inside our body is added to the picture we see and if we do not have a feeling we are beautiful we will not see ourselves as beautiful.

We do a self check after arriving at the mirror with our eyes closed,  if we do not feel beautiful in our body, we allow ourselves to feel beautiful in our body and then we return to the starting place a few feet away from the mirror.

——————————————————————-

Four

We repeat this step until we are able to walk up to the mirror with our eyes closed and feel beautiful in our body.

When we are able to walk up to the mirror and have a feeling that allows us to feel beautiful, we open our eyes and discover our real beauty.

We do the exercise a couple times to reinforce the visual understanding.

Now to the audio section of the exercises…

Step One—Recognizing what makes me feel less beautiful.

We begin by noticing how we feel when everything is fine and we should feel beautiful. If we have some feeling that is altering us, we want to understand what it is and what it does to color how we feel about ourselves.

Exercise One: What is it that sometimes makes me feel less attractive?

Step Two—Rewriting what makes me feel less beautiful.

We are going to rewrite what made us feel less than beautiful this week. This process re-records a sense of beauty and a good feeling about ourselves in our body, as the memory we have associated with the old affect, so we naturally feel beautiful. This will automatically and instantly prepare us to experience ourselves as beautiful.

Each time we reinforce the new feeling we have with an experience of ourselves as beautiful, we enhance the feeling. That is why it is important to do the other “Feeling Beautiful” exercises, so that we have the ability to have experiences that are wonderful.

By validating the new recording with good feelings and the experiences, we further re-record and reinforce the improvement to our operating system.

This is how we wear a new outfit all the time.

Step Three—Recognizing what makes me feel less beautiful, when I look in the mirror.

We are going to do self checks to see if we have something that makes us feel less than beautiful when we look at ourselves in the mirror. An affect will add weight and meaning to what we see. If we do not feel beautiful when we look in the mirror, we want to understand what is altering us and adding color to our lens in a negative way.

We will notice how we are feeling in our body when we should be feeling beautiful. We are going to relax and feel beautiful and then look at our beautiful image.

Step Four—Rewriting what makes me feel less beautiful when I look in the mirror, so I may see my beauty.

We are going to feel beautiful, as though we had a new outfit on and see ourselves as beautiful automatically. The weight and meaning we put on what we see is automatic and we are rewriting that so we instantly see how beautiful we are when we look in the mirror.
